Leaders are dealers in hope (Napoleon Bonaparte)

Where there is hope there is a future, although hope in itself is not a strategy.

Providing hope may simply be a matter of helping people make sense of what is going on around them, so they know that where they are is temporary … and not nearly as important as where they are going to.

Leaders understand that the vibrancy of individuals and teams are stimulated through purpose-inspired activity.

In an inspired growth environment, the alignment of action to purpose generates momentum. This is when people get ‘fired-up’ as the focus of captivated minds releases energy.

The personification of a hope-filled person is easily seen in humans although it appears to be most evident at the start of each new year!

It’s a ‘fresh’ attitude or perspective based on a desire that things will be better for whatever imagined reason.

Hope is often activated by an idiosyncratic desire allied to an unrealistic expectation that the new year itself will bring forth the pixie-dust required to make a difference.

It may start like that – with great exuberance, but why does it seldom endure? Apparently for over two thirds of the folk ‘committing’ to a new year’s resolution, it’s over by the second Friday that January!

‘Life’ gets in the way. This is when your people need the encouragement that your hope provides. It will give them impetus, direction and energy.

One of your greatest gifts this year could be providing people with hope, especially when ‘life’ gets in their way. Become a dealer in hope, it’s free.

Hope in the future provides fuel for the present although the power of NOW manifest its ‘magic’.

Do you have IT because you cannot give what you do not have?

I need it, you need it, and the world craves it.
