In the book Relationship Philosophy, I mention that one of our sternest relationship tests will be how we integrate biological thinking with non-biological intelligence. How will we adapt in our thirst for connection?
In an era where algorithms mediate intimacy, knowing your relationship philosophy is no longer optional, it’s existential.
The impact of how this is playing out was mentioned in a recent Korn Ferry webinar (The Mind Meld: Leading the Human + AI Era) which says that according to a Gartner report 29% of organizations have already been attacked.
Ironically another survey revealed that 67% of workers were found to trust AI more than their coworkers! As people shift more towards communicating and relation-shipping with non-biological intelligence the strain with our natural biological thinking will intensify.
When you run counter to what is natural and divine prepare for the backlash as you will expose yourself to similar forces as when attempting to suspend gravity.
Whilst we continue to cohabitate planet earth it would be as wise to give credence to the law of gravity as it would be to give credence to our biological thoughts, for anchoring ourselves in truths, particularly amid uncertainty.
The use of robots for personal companionship and domestic or business services will increasingly become common practice and more accessible to the greater population for those choosing to pursue the convenience.
I was horrified when conversing with my daughter about what she said, “Dad, people will one day marry robots!”
The deeper our entanglement with artificial intelligence, the more vital it becomes to anchor ourselves in a conscious philosophy of the human relationship.
One can assuredly unlock relational DNA by embracing the mystery, the tension, and the beauty of becoming, together, with the one who made you.
