Coaching (1 on 1)
The truth is that coaching isn’t for people who are broken – it’s for people who are ready to stop circling the same problem and finally move forward.
Have you ever felt a deep yearning to overcome an ongoing inner struggle associated with thoughts, emotions and behaviours which are self-sabotaging? Where a pattern of persistent struggle with the outside world and the inward roller coaster of emotions leaves you thinking whether you will ever be able to help yourself, or that maybe all the ‘good things’ in life are for other people?
It’s obvious isn’t it – that we immediately act on personal challenges as soon as the situation begins to consistently erode our well‑being, our relationships and quality of life?
Not so!
The challenges others have are easier for us to see than for us to recognise our own.
Why is it personally so difficult? Because observing someone else’s struggle allows objectivity, while self‑reflection is clouded by ego, denial, and emotional attachment.
Blind spots, ego, fear of vulnerability, and self-deception (protective self‑narratives) make recognizing our personal problems harder than noticing them in others.
You may have been down this road before searching for answers to ‘fix’ whatever may be holding you back and now you are once again looking for an answer because you are unable to unblock what’s stopping you.
Ultimately the cost of inaction will eventually outweigh the discomfort of change when postponement is no longer ‘safe’ as it will threaten what matters most to you. Action now will prevent a lot more ‘damage’ from happening down the road.
What if I told you that the answer is something that you have heard before – will you simply dismiss it, again, and hope that your fierce determination to find it will surely triumph?
You’ve heard this – that the answers lie WITHIN YOU. No different to anyone else.
You may be thinking that your external circumstances are holding you back. That outside forces such as luck, fate, other people, or circumstances are responsible for your outcomes rather than your own choices or actions.
Projecting the blame by shifting responsibility away from yourself (victim mentality) onto outside factors will always leave you feeling powerless when repeated setbacks lead to the belief that effort won’t change results.
Shift from helplessness to helpfulness by realising that your old, outdated subconscious programming is responsible. More specifically, the buried stories, beliefs, emotional scars, inner conflict and outdated identity stories you tell yourself about yourself, which play out in your nervous system 24/7.
Despite your best efforts if you continue your current path, you will merely be reinforcing the subconscious programmes running your life. You need to upgrade your internal map of beliefs and rewrite the hidden code that is secretly running your life.
It’s time to do the best thing for yourself and follow through lest you find yourself going through the same thoughts, feelings and actions a year from now because you won’t be able to do it on your own.
Besides the physicality of three motor car accidents (one serious), a motor bike accident and a mountain bike accident, and a handful of operations, the most testing times have all been mind-related.
According to the opinion of a high ranking official I was once reputed to be the worst player ever to represent my province at cricket, yet I eventually represented my country.
It took me over 5 years before I could begin to talk about a failed business venture in which I lost ‘everything’ apart from my family. Horrific especially as ‘head of my family.’
I mention these experiences because we are all forged ‘in the fire’, wish it weren’t that way, but it is so. In hindsight they were (with others) instrumental in shaping the life which lay before me, with positive outcomes.
It may be comforting to hear that the ‘food’ we sow in the valleys will be eaten on the mountaintop.
I wish I had known back then about neuroscience (and the associated tools and techniques which I now use) and how instrumental our sub-conscious mind is in designing our future. Things may have been significantly different, as they can be for you.
By reaching out now you gain direct access to a self-empowerment process with long lasting results for a better life filled with joy. Pause and think about the possibility.
We all have two lives, the second starts when you realise you only have one (Confucius).
An investment in yourself will always pay the highest dividends – for life!
